Strangely, they were actually closed.

Day 17: Reflecting

Having moved to Colorado from a state replete with bodies of abundant water in all magnificent forms imaginable, I am comforted somewhat to live near a variety of (dinky) watery landscapes. Near to our home we have a small lake, three even smaller ponds, a wee little creek and an astronomical leak in our outdoor plumbing system.

Certainly nothing like the Puget Sound, Lake Washington or the Columbia River around here but I am thankful just the same. Except for the leak. That's just a drain.

Day 16: Reflecting

My friend is like this mirror
Manipulating bleak pallids and neutrals
She mixes and swirls her motley magic
and weaves
technicolor rainbows.

Day 15: Reflecting

It's possible the freshly washed shirts previously strung from these hangers are still heaped in a mildewing mass upon the laundry table. Did I hang them back up? One never knows.

So today begins Theme 3 and along with it the question of whether or not there's a difference between shadows and reflections and if that's something I need to care about. I'm resisting the urge to Google-search my answer and instead will let the possibilities run wild in my head as I drift off to sleep this evening. Starting the week off reflecting on deep stuff.
